Since birth, I've had a really strange hairline. On one side it's completely normal, but on the other, there's a patch where I just don't have any hair. It's the part just to the right of the front-centre of my hair and it looks just like a receded hairline - but only on one side. So basically it makes my hair look really unsymmetrical and difficult to style. Do you think a hair transplant could fix this? I've tried cutting it short and growing it long and it's still the same. How much would something like this cost?Very weird receded hairline, hair transplant a possibility?
Hair Restoration generally costs between $4000 and $5000 but can get as expensive as $12000 depending on the doctor, and how much you are getting to restored. The website I found mentioned that grafts cost between 3-10 but the number of hairs a doctor puts in per graft can very so it suggested seeing a doctor and asking him/her about it. If I was doing hair restoration I would see a few different doctors and weigh the pros/cons of each one to make your best decision. Who knows you may be able to mention the different prices to each doctor to see if you can get your favorite to lower his/her price!

Hairstles for receding hairlines?
OK I'm a 22 year old dude who's hair is receding. I've got a pretty good widow's peak going.
Can anyone suggest any good hairstyles that will go well with a receding hairline?
I was thinking of getting my hair cut like Matt Damon's in these pictures. I think they would complement a receding hairline well. BTW what is his hairstyle called?

If you have a receding hair line go bald.Hairstles for receding hairlines?
The best advice that I can give you for a receding hairline is to definitely NOT try to wear it long.
If you want to go with the haircut in the pictures, tell them you want a modified caesar that sticks up in the front. Tell them to do a 2-3 fade up the sides, and finger-length or just longer on the top.
If you want the top to look kinda ';choppy'; , tell them to texture with a razor in the top
I have receding hairline too. Usually i will wear my fringe to cover the ';emptiness';. But long fringe will usually be difficult to manage so short and untexturize fringe will be good.

Guy's with a receding hairline please answer?
I'm 20 and my hairline is receding, i was wondering if your hairline receded when you were younger and if it ever stopped for a period of time or is it progressive and just keeps receding until your bald? any answers are appreciated thanks.Guy's with a receding hairline please answer?
My hairline is receding. My mom's brothers all began losing their hair at around my age, some later. I guess I've inherited that. Theres a shampoo called Nioxin that I'm using. It's pretty expensive $17 for the bottle, and it just takes time. It stops hair from falling. Usually receding hairlines stay until you are bald.

Why don't balding faith healers sleep with their healing hand on their receding hairlines?
Seems like it would work. You have that one Benny Hinn guy, who started out with what I would have called the worst comb over of the millenia. Now I think he has some sort of persian wool hair plugs. But doesn't it make sense if you could heal, and fix stuff with a touch of your hand, wouldn't you invest some hand time in stopping the retreat of your youthful quaf? Why don't balding faith healers sleep with their healing hand on their receding hairlines?
A faith healer should live forever... Shouldn't they? Why don't balding faith healers sleep with their healing hand on their receding hairlines?
Classic
Because getting old and losing your hair is not a ';sickness';, it is a natural process. It's on par with going gray and getting wrinkles.
Baldness isn't really an affliction. For them to do so would be an act of vanity, and thus they would probably not be worthy of any magical powers.
';Healing'; and 'fixing baldness' are not in the same league!
Bad backs, cancers, etc, affect your physical well-being.
If you allow baldness to affect you 'mentally' - it's not really the same.
Baldness is part of aging - 'G-d' in almost all religions only promises eternal youth in the 'Afterlife'!
And! 'G-d' gives the ';gift'; to use on others - usually as a means of getting them to realise how great 'G-d' is and ';repent'; and become a ';believer';!
Anyway, using the gift for oneself is rare - trying to use it for 'spiritual cosmetic surgery' would be a definite ';no-no';!
That is a very good question.
Because they are no different than any other person, they are false prophets and teachers. They cannot cure anyone of anything, only God can do that. Otherwise, yeah I think they would feel obligated to heal the whole world.
because god loves a comb-over.
Yeah, and why don't psychics always win the lottery?
Maybe it doesn't bother them. Maybe they don't judge. Maybe you should listen.
What are you talking about??? Look at your face!
I read up on it the other day, They believe that sleeping with their healing hand on their receding hairlines would bring demons to their scalps.
First of all, not all faith healers are of the Christian faith and secondly something that may seem important to one; like having a good head of hair, may not be important to another.
In the Christian faith, it is not the man (the vessel) that decides whom to heal and what to heal, it is the Holy Spirit.
the sick needs healing,.. receding hairline doesn't hurt one bit,.. it doesn't bother him, why would it bother you?
but i do think you need some healing, say these words,
';Lord, i am not worthy to receive You, but only say my name, and i shall be healed,...';
remember it is His gift,..
God bless,.. :-)

Receding hairlines?
Im 20yrs old and I've got a receding hairline and slight baldness. I'm not that bothered about it as its less hair to cut and wash.
But why do some men hate the fact that they are going bald and/or getting receding hairlines?Receding hairlines?
because balding is a sign of aging. I'm not going to fight it when I go bald.Receding hairlines?
because that means that in the future they will have no choice whether to be bald or not..
some people think that it makes them unattractive.. but some women like when some men shave their head bald..
they want to be able to choose to be bald or not.
We live in an outward appearance society. Nobody cares about our inside self - only how we look on the outside. Sad, but true.
My hairline started to recede and I got Nioxin products fast...it stopped. Saw Palmetto helps block DHT also. Having hair is important to self esteem...unless you are comfortable without it. I would not be.almay

My husband was balding when I met him when he was in his late 20's and now he is just about completely bald (41). I find him irrestible sexy whether he had alot of hair or has a little hair. I told him if he ever did the comb over thing I would leave (just kidding).Receding hairlines?
i have my hair like that too. its so annoying. i hate it as i could never do a pony tail
I never did a pony tail in my whole life, and i really want to. My i dont have much hair on the sidelines, and makes me look like a man when i put my hair up.
it means that they are getting older.
thats why they hate it.
and because they think that women wont find them AS attractive as they use to.
Because girls like to run their fingers in their man's hair! Jk. I think that affects their self-esteem and makes them feel that they're less attractive that way. I admit that I'd never want to lose my hair, even though I have a lot of hair and could probably afford to lose some (takes 2 hours to dry)!
I'm 40 yrs old, and have not lost one hair yet.
I bet you were one of those 15 yr olds who could shave. You guys made fun of guys like me who didn't shave until their 20s.
Payback's a mother, isn't it?

Receding hairline?
ok, i am not even sure if this is really receding hairline
i am 15, and the area around my hairline is thinning. my mum insists that it is because i had been tying my hair for long hours since i was 6. so she insisted i cut it.
my hair has been short for about 3 months and the thinning in the area doesn't seem to be getting much better. i am thinking could it be due to me constantly putting a clip in the area? (i find hair obstructing my view very annoying)
is there any way to prevent the thinning in the area?Receding hairline?
You may want to let your hair lose instead of pulling it back so much. Also, changing your eating or taking vitamins (like Olay's Beauty Vitamins)
Healthy Hair Vitamins
* Vitamin A - Antioxidant that helps produce healthy sebum in the scalp. Food sources: Fish liver oil, meat, milk, cheese, eggs, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, apricots and peaches. Warnings: Too much daily is toxic and can cause hair loss and other serious health problems.
* Vitamin C - Antioxidant that helps maintain skin %26amp; hair health. Food sources: Citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwi, cantaloupe, pineapple, tomatoes, green peppers, potatoes and dark green vegetables.
* Vitamin E - Antioxidant that enhances scalp circulation. Food sources: Cold-pressed vegetable oils, wheat germ oil, soybeans, raw seeds and nuts, dried beans, and leafy green vegetables.
* Biotin - Helps produce keratin, may prevent graying and hair loss. Food sources: Brewer's yeast, whole grains, egg yolks, liver, rice and milk.
* Inositol - Keeps hair follicles healthy at the cellular level. Food sources: Whole grains, brewer's yeast, liver and citrus fruits.
* Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5) - Prevents graying and hair loss. Food sources: Whole grain cereals, brewer's yeast, organ meats and egg yolks.
* Vitamin B6 - Prevents hair loss, helps create melanin, which gives hair its color. Food sources: Brewer's yeast, liver, whole grain cereals, vegetables, organ meats and egg yolk. Daily dose: 1.6 mg. Warnings: High doses can cause numbness in hands and feet.
* Vitamin B12 - Prevents hair loss. Food sources: Chicken, fish, eggs and milk.Receding hairline?
vitamins and all that is good, but i don' think you're suffering from a loss of vitamins or iron because you're so young, its just overuse of that area, my grandfather was 84yrs old and bald, my mom started boiling rosemary, My grandfather now has a head full of hair. You can get the spice from walmart and boil it like tea let it cool, and use it as a leave on conditioner every day, you should see result in two weeks.

Guys what do u think about girls with receding hairlines?
other than the hairline she's pretty and has a bubbly personalityGuys what do u think about girls with receding hairlines?
grossGuys what do u think about girls with receding hairlines?
Bald girls are kinda unusual, but I've got a receding hair line myself (I'm only 24) and I hate the fact the people judge me for it, so I wouldn't judge a girl because of it. Sometimes you just can't do anything about it.
If she's bubbly, then I'm sure she's got a great personality - and that's what's important - right? Pretty helps too.
its all about the personallity
women do go bald although it is very rare. for a male to go bald he only needs the gene from one parent, for a woman she needs them from both. in the long run personality will matter much more, and there are so many great ways for women to cover up baldness. personally i find it unattractive, but if everything else is great what does it matter. whats more important is how you feel about it.
you mean on their head?
umm....like shes going bald? Eww. Tell her to seek help. I like my women with hair.

Alright I have a receding hairline. It is already really bad and I am only 15 years old. All the men in my family are bald. I do not want to become bald and I don't want a receding hairline.
What can I do now to make it grow back and prevent going bald in the future?Receding Hairline?

it sounds like what you have is male pattern baldness
unfortunately this comes from our family genes
I have some bad news and some better news for you
the bad news is you have to figure out a way to keep your hair!!
right now all we have is Rogaine treatments ( you can buy at your local salons)..
the dr. can not prescribe anything for male pattern baldness at the moment.. they can if your baldness comes from other sources such as nerves etc.
in addition to the Rogaine
one other way to keep your hair, is to keep the blood flowing up there.. which means, constantly massage your head to keep those hair bulbs alive (the blood nourishes your hair)
now for the good news
in your future they will have figured out a way to use gene therapy to stop male pattern baldness
the only thing you have to do now is to keep as much hair as you can until that day arrives so that you can save what you have..
Good Luck
Keep your hair short....
Medical treatment for hair loss: The foundation of strong, healthy hair is good nutrition. To supplement it, the new formula Provillus was designed. It prevents DHT from reaching the body and supply necessary foods to the body. These foods are specially meant for healthy hair. Along with a healthy diet, Provillus helps you to get those lustrous locks.

I'm sorry to hear your problem, my fiance started going bald when he was your age-more of a receding hair line.
Anyway, don't wear a hat as much as you do-cap+sweat=clogged pores and hair loss. If you want your hair to grow back, you might want to check into Rogaine or some other hair regrowth product.
Sorry to say kiddo, but you're kinda screwed. Not trying to be negative, but that's when I started balding as well. I'm 25 now, and most people think I'm 35.
Realistically speaking, there is little you can do to stop it. However, there are things you can do to lessen it. Vitamin A is now you're worst enemy, remember that. It leads to increased hair loss, so limit you're intake to about 75% of the daily recommended amount, because you also don't want vitamin deficiency. Also, cut out any hair products you can. They will weaken the hair you do have and damage you're scalps ability to retain follicles.
Now, after you're 21 (the end of your last growth spurt), you can look into hair products. You don't want to use them before, simply because they can affect normal growth patterns in your body. Rogain's not all that great. While you use it, you retain hair, but only because it's chemically supplementing the follicles. This will have the affect of actually decreasing the amount of chemicals your body naturally sends to your hair, so when you stop using it you'll end up loosing more hair than what you would have without it when the chemicals are no longer there to keep it alive. There are pills that act just the same, all it does is trick your body, it doesn't actually repair the cause. Provillus is actually a really good product, but don't use it until after you've stopped growing. Don't need pesky side affects cutting an inch or two off you're height, girls like tall guys.
It sucks being young and loosing your hair, trust me I know. However, as you get older, women will start to appreciate it. Cultivate it and learn how to use it to your advantage, that's the best thing you can do. Don't be self conscience about it, it's natural. When you get older, learn how to flaunt it. There is an advantage to male pattern baldness, noone ever cards you and assumes you're older than what you really are, and thusly grant you more respect than what they normally would.
Lastly, start driving ';old man'; cars. Quite a few of them are ';sleepers';, so you don't have to sacrifice performance. With the car and the balding, as it gets worse, cops get more lienent.
the only thing u can do is try somethin like rogain, or also there is a presciption that is only for me that u can get from a doctor.

Baldness question concerning receding hairlines.?
How far does your hair have to thin out before it's considered to be a 'receding hairline?' Starting to get some 'widows peak' sort of edges at the side of the forehead, wondering if I'm gonna start to be like baldy?Baldness question concerning receding hairlines.?
Not all men who have receding hairlines go bald. Many men begin to recede, but the ';line'; stops and they get no balder. Others get a bald spot on the top of their head and eventually go bald, while some men get the bald spot but it never gets any larger.Baldness question concerning receding hairlines.?
Alopecia is a common thing among men. Products like Rogaine works with some. But indeed i still believe baldness is hereditary.
I also concerned that tight caps worn excessively on the hairline promote certain baldness. Air should freely pass over your head. It is not just few times wearing caps, but years of continuity will result in same.
Do not worry though, baldness is frequent. You do have doctors that can perform hair transplants if you wish to go that far. Seek a reputable dermatologist or a consulting physician to demote receding hairline. Wish you best!
i guess old baldy is creeping in on you... if you have a thinning crown also you might want to look into rogaine (minoxidil) therapy,,, i have been using it for 13 years now with great success... i have two balding brothers and i am the oldest ;-)
guess you're already there - depending on the perspective of the person judging you...almay

I just heard that there is a product by VICHY that is excellent for hair loss. There are two types ( men and women )and it is sold in pharmacies in Europe. It is very easy to use, just apply to your scalp once a day....I have two friends who swear by it.
I am almost sure you can find it in the states. It comes in a box with 10 or 12 ampoules and an applicator.Good luck!Receding hairline?
hi,
there is a product called Nioxin, here is the link: http://www.nioxin.com/
I used it all last year and had new hair growth with it. I am a woman, but I can relate to your problem. I started losing my hair about two/three year ago. It wasn't until last year that I started noticing a huge difference in the volume of my hair. So, I went to my hair salon one day and the hairdresser said to try Nioxin. I did and within a week I noticed new hair growing. Its an amazing product! I would try that first...
hope that helps

sorry but just to let you know its only going to recede more as time goes on. keep your hair shaggier if you it makes you feel better.. but if you look around, the majority of guys have the genes for receding hairlines.. it just shows up for most people as they get older but i know plenty of guys who are in their twenties or late teens who started having a receding hairline. i'm a girl and i have one too.. i noticed it when i was 18 and when i put my hair back you can tell its really thinnnig and receding at the temples.. its not just guys that can get it. the good thing is that we can value people for who they are not how they look so don't let it bother you.

Receding hairline?
Im going to shave my head bald because its noticable, and im paranoid about it.
Are there any hair clippers that cut down to bald?
I have sensitive skin so i know if i have a wet shave, it will irritate my skin. If you know of any electric products, that would be great.Receding hairline?
i think u can only use clippers 2 get it really short...but then ull have 2 use shaving cream and shave it off with a razor. the skin on ur head is different than the skin on ur face or anywhere else so i doubt itll get that irritated if u shave ur head. i have the same problem and may b shaving mine this summerReceding hairline?
So you think everyone is going to notice your hairline, sad bastard.
I too have a fairly sensitive skin, but have been shaving my head for nearly 10 years. Gillette Fusion Power, together with the matching foam works very well. It is also important to moisturise the scalp regularly.
My mate Simon uses electric clipper he got from the barbers. He looks pretty cool and not like a balding man but a man wiht little hair - there is a difference.
hi
so what if you have a receding hairline, you dont need to shave your head, just get it cut short and keep it that way, shaving it all off is a bit drastic, i know its not a nice thing to happen to a man but i bet woman havent really noticed it that much, if you really want it all gone then you can use the clippers without the guard on and that will be like the day after a shave.
irritation should go away after you've been doing it for a few weeks if you wet shave
Nah ya just gonna be bald lol

Receding Hairlines? Getting bald?
Hi, I am 26 years old and I am getting receding hairlines on my corner of my forehead. It has been like this ever since I was 23. But now, the receding is deeper and deeper.
My question is that, how many here have the same problem. Or who has the male baldness problem? Don't get me wrong, I have lots and lots of hair, just that I don't like my corner forehead.
Is there a reason why, I am only 26!! Any cure or remedies or anyway to slow it down??Receding Hairlines? Getting bald?
it probably runs in your family,i started that way and now iam bald on top.i was 21 when i started the same way you did.some starts there and some starts on their crown of their head.Receding Hairlines? Getting bald?

Good-looking men with receding hairlines?
Or can men even look good if they have a receding hairline?
The best example I can give is Julian McMahon.Good-looking men with receding hairlines?
Jack Nicholson sure toots my horn. Nicholas Cage could lite a match at ten paces. Anthony Hopkins is a very, good looken' man. Not to mention my husband, you could show Home Movies on his forehead and he still lights my fire. Guys, hair, how much or how little, doesn't define if your good looking or not. It's how you feel about yourself that emanates how attractive you are to others.Good-looking men with receding hairlines?
Hair club for men dude. Whatever you do, don't do the comb over.
Absolutely! I don't know why men continue to think that you can't look handsome if you're balding. It's actually the opposite. I say let it recede, keep the remaining hair clipped and groomed and that'll be all you need. Well that and a genuine smile.
Ever stop and realize that Jeremy Piven (Ari on Entourage) actually LOOKED DAMN GOOD until he went and got a complex about his hairline. Now look at him.
Remember when he was on Ellen

Good looks are in the eyes of the beholder!!!!!
Christopher Casenove played Lord Haslemere in the Duchess of Duke Street. He is extraordinarily handsome. A man is still more than the substance of his outer looks. He continuously rendered a spontaneous intelligence that is beyond compare. Thank you for asking.
nothing wrong with a receding hairline, or bald. some very sexy looking men have little or no hair.
I know a lot of men with receding hairlines or who are bald who are attractive. Work with what you've got and don't let it bother you if you have a receding hairline. Many women find men attractive based on more than hair.
My fiancee has a receding hairline, and he is the sexiest man alive! I also think Julian McMahon is fine!
Never. No way.

Why do most boys I know who are 17, 18ish all have receding hairlines?
This http://www.receding-hairline-treatment.cWhy do most boys I know who are 17, 18ish all have receding hairlines?
Guess that's the downside of growing up near Chernobyl I supposeWhy do most boys I know who are 17, 18ish all have receding hairlines?
You know wot all the people that age i know it happens from wearing caps permanently glued to their head, they really regret it now but its def a pattern i've seen over the years.
Maybe you should wish it had happened to you! Male pattern baldness is hereditary, and carried in genetic patterns. It depends, however, on testosterone levels, and bald men show higher leves of testosterone. Low testosterone usually results in men with a good head of hair. (Although that is a generalisation, some men with good hair just have a genetic tendancy to good hair)
this is known as ';male pattern baldness'; and is a genetic condition. as they become sexually mature, the testosterone interacts with a protein that makes the hair basically stop growing. basically, the guys with the most testosterone are also the baldest! So embrace sexy baldness :-)

that is really sad to hear. bald is definitely out for guys so they are screwed. women only like guys with long hair now.
it depends on the guy, i have some guy friends that have it and plenty who don't. genes determine at what age this will occur. some guys don't look good with hair anyways, so if this has already happened to you, or if it does, let your hair grow out longer or, just embrace it.
It's all got to do with genes and stress i beleive.
Because these ';boys'; are actually pedophiles impersonating boys in order to abduct you. SCARY! SEEK HELP IMMEDIATELY!
