Which flat iron causes less damage to hair? Ionic, far infrared, or ceramic?

Ceramic. The Chi Flat Iron definitely works the best and causes the least amount of damage. I've tried everything from the cheap ones you buy in the store (which KILL hair) to the Sedu Ionic and I would recommend the Chi to anyone. Whatever you decide to get though, don't get the kind that says you can straiten your hair while its wet! It isn't the type of iron, it is the temperature that you have it set on. Ceramic is usually a little better, but if you , like most young women, have the temperature too high they are all going to do serious damage.
i think ceramic, supposedly. but ionic makes it smoother and shinier i believe.

100% ceramic works the best. :)

It also reduces damage. Try looking up ceramic flat irons to figure out which one suits you.
