Does a receding hairline mean that I will go bald?

I noticed that my hair does not grow in a perfect pattern on my head and i think that i may have a receding hairline. I looked at some photos when i was younger and i had it then too so does this mean that I will go bald or not. I have a full set of thick hair and plenty of it and i dont have any bald patches on the top of my headDoes a receding hairline mean that I will go bald?

no. My father and I both have receding hairlines and neither one of us are anywhere close to being bald.





Crazy thing is, we were both born with it... not sure why.





Plus, if people give you crap about it, tell them it's not a receding hairline, it's an exceeding forehead :) Makes me feel better about it.
That problem is often hereditary. How does your relative's hair seem to be? In the case of two of my sons they have receding hairlines one at 24 the other at 40 and I can assure you that as time goes by, in their case, their hair will be considerably less at the best.
not necessarily, my dad has had a receding hairline for as long as I could remember, and he's not even close to being bald
You just may be thinning a little. It happens to a lot of guys.
