I'm 20 and have a slight receding hairline and was wondering what causes this?

It's not too bad, I mean if you saw me on the street you wouldn't be able to tell but I do have one and was wondering what I could do to prevent it from getting worse - thanks in advance.I'm 20 and have a slight receding hairline and was wondering what causes this?
It's a genetic factor, it will progress over time regardless, there is no proven way as of yet to stop it. There's heaps of fad treatments all over the place that say they can grow back hair but it's unlikely any of them work, or work effectively. You can try a few of them and see how they go, but you cannot fight genetics, it is inevitable.I'm 20 and have a slight receding hairline and was wondering what causes this?
Monitor it closely, if it gets worse, start using rogaine. If you let it get worse and ignore it, it will be too late to use rogaine, and the you will have to start on propecia. But make sure you use rogaine or any other product that has minoxidil, and dont let your barber try to sell you anything else (it always happened to me when i would go to my barber), because they want it to get worse so you'll keep on buying products from them. And don't try to take the easy route and buy cheap shampoos from walgreens or wallmart, because they're crap too.
