You have to discuss this with your stylist ahead of time as she is going through your consultation, but what I like to do for my guys with receding hairlines is leave that area just a little longer. This only works if your hair is receding in this pattern: http://tv.popcrunch.com/wp-content/uploa I would leave it just a little longer at those peaks. However, if it's more of this pattern: http://californiarumor.com/files/images/ where the line is receding all the way across instead of just at the peaks, I'd recommend shaving it. My brother's line is a mix of both--it's gone quite a bit back all over, but is even more so at the peaks, and we keep his hair at about a 1/2 inch all over and it looks pretty good. A style with shorter lengths in the forward areas of the head and increased length in the back.
First, you must except that you hair line is receding and then your stylist can do the rest.
i say shave it, but not to the skin. then ask someone u trust if u should shave it down to the skin. im sure ur friend will b honest wit u
either flat top it if you have a square face or if it's round shave it... but maintain it for sure to keep it nice
