Does Rogain Foam work on receding hairlines?

Just wondering if it worked on receding hairlines. I have a small bald spot on the back of my head, but how about receding hairlines?

Also I've read that the foam stinks, but is it really that bad?

Hope someone can help.Does Rogain Foam work on receding hairlines?
It will slow the process but it will not stop it at all:a total waste of money.Once you start with it :you cannot ever stop,

Just accept the facts and move on with your life.

Rogaine has been shown in clinical studies to slow down the process of balding on the crown of the head (the back of the head) but there is not enough strong evidence to show that it works on receding hairlines. On the boxes themselves, it says that it is intended only for the back of the head.

The foam has a smell, but it doesn't stink. It's a little easier to apply than the liquid and dropper. You can try using it on the receding hairline, but I'm not sure it will work.

Other options may be to try Propecia, although since it is a cosmetic drug, it won't be covered by your insurance company, and will end up costing you about 50-60 dollars a month.

You can also ask your doctor if he's comfortable with prescribing Finasteride 5mg. It's the same thing as Propecia, but it's 5mg instead of 1mg. You'd just have to be careful when it comes to taking it, and go over with your doctor the safest way to take it (because taking 5mg at once could be bad).
i have been on rogain therapy for almost 15 years,,, it works. i started using it when i was 20. i will be using it for a very long time or until i decide that having hair on my head isn't important to me anymore. i have 2 brothers and one of them is 6 years younger than me and bald. a receding hairline and the bald spot on the back of your head is classic male pattern baldness. rogain will most likely work for you too, your just on it forever, you cant stop unless you want to lose the hair.

i just saw space' answer,,, what he said is true if you start it too late ,and don't stay with it on a regular basis.
Jack baldness runs in families. Is your father going bald? grandfather bald. Save your money
