How do I regrow a receding hairline?

I'm only a 16 year old male, and my hair is thin on either side of my head above my temple area. Here are a few pics:

Parts of my scalp go red too after I flake dandruff off it in that particular region as well. How can I reverse this and get hair growing back in that area? How do I regrow a receding hairline?
sounds like psoriasis. i have psoriasis on my scalp, and in the parts that usually have the dandruff like plaques of sporiasis, are the parts where hair falls out. google psoriasis, if you dont know what it is, and for treatment. How do I regrow a receding hairline?
some people can grow hair back in their temples. I've lost hair in all of my temples almost completely nothing up there, but I started taking saw palmetto (500 mg 2x a day) and now i HAVE hair there it's just thin and still coming in. u can find saw palmetto prety much anywhere that carries vitamins

16 seems a little early but almost all guy's hairlines recede to a more normal adult hairline in the late teens or early 20's. This doesn't mean a guy is going bald. There isn't any way to regrow hair in the temple area. Rogaine and finasteride only work to regrow hair over the crown. It is normal for the hairs at the the hairline to be finer than the hairs away from the hairline. Consult a dermatologist to rule out any other causes.

Keeping the back and sides fairly closely tapered with classic short or medium sideburns will make the top hair appear fuller.

( Short Sideburns: do not extend past where the ear cartilage attaches to the skull.)

( Medium Sideburns: do not extend past the top of the ear orifice.)

Besides a taper cut, an ivy league or crew cut work well with this type of hairline and make the top appear fuller. For instance these are from old college yearbooks and their hairlines are much more receded than yours. Sure it would look better if they had fuller hairlines, but they still look great:

Hopefully in a few years there will be a way to produce hairs to transplant. Go Dr. Alvi Armani's website, alviarmani.com to see videos/photos of the latest transplant procedures. Single hairs are harvested and transplanted with essentially a hypodermic syringe. No follicular unit strip extraction surgery, so no scalpels or cutting involved, and only a topical anesthetic is used.
