Bad receding hairline?

My boyfriend has a really bad receding hairline and his hair seems to be getting thinner and thinner. also, he seems to be loosing hair in the back. has anyone tried Rogaine or any type of hair growing products? Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you!Bad receding hairline?
Yes, been on finasteride (Propecia) for years, Stopped hair loss in its tracks. He would need to see a dermatologist for a script. I get the generic form from Costco and cut the pills into quarters. Costs me about $25/month as opposed to the $70 or so for Propecia.

Also, he can pick up Rogaine or the generic form Minoxidil from Costco also. Generic is about $20 for a three month supply.

He can also use both of these and actually regrow some hair.Bad receding hairline?
NONE of them work. Never tried but I keep reading reports and seeing news stories how all of these products are B.S. The TV show 20/20 did a study a few years ago and tested all the products.

The ONLY thing that worked was having actual hair transplants. The guy who got the transplants looked good actually with them but it can vary from person to person some look fake.

Personally I gave up a long time ago and started shaving my head.

I don't know just hope you don't ditch the guy because he's losing his hair.
Your Answer:

He will just be wasting time %26amp; money %26amp; develop anxiety %26amp; frustration. He will eventually have to accept the inevitable. Life is not always the way it's supposed to be. It's just the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.
If these products worked 100% you probably wouldn't be asking this question. That being said, I doubt they'd make the situation worse, but they are expensive, and most guys I know who have tried them were still very unhappy with their head of hair.
rogaine works just fine, my sister's freind used it.
