Balding with no receding hairline?

I began noticing my hair is very thin at the top, compared to years ago, however i keep my hair alot shorter than i did years ago, however i dont have a receding hairline, is it possible to go bald without a receding hairline?Balding with no receding hairline?

The hairs that were once robust have simply thinned over time till they are fine nearly invisible vellus hairs. Fue is also a less invasive procedure and it thins the harvested area giving an overall more even density. The transplantation is largely the same regardless of harvesting method.
