Balding with no receding hairline?

I began noticing my hair is very thin at the top, compared to years ago, however i keep my hair alot shorter than i did years ago, however i dont have a receding hairline, is it possible to go bald without a receding hairline?Balding with no receding hairline?
It definitely is possible and fairly common. All ';balding'; is really thinning. Even a guy who appears totally bald on top still has a full head of hair. The hairs that were once robust have simply thinned over time till they are fine nearly invisible vellus hairs. Each hair lives a certain number of years growing to a terminal length, falls out and is replaced by a new hair. For a guy who is thinning, the replacement hairs become thinner and thinner over time till they are fine vellus hairs. There are several common thinning patterns, all do not involve all the hairs at the frontal hairline becoming fine vellus hairs over a short period of time so that the area appears';bald.'; Research is now looking into injecting stem cells from hairs that are not subject to thinning into the scalp to rejuvenate the fine vellus hairs to once again produce more robust hairs. Hair transplantation now available gives good results. The issue is having enough hair to redistribute. The new fue(follicular unit extraction)method of harvesting though more costly has made this possible for guys with tight scalps who are limited in strip extraction surgeries. Fue is also a less invasive procedure and it thins the harvested area giving an overall more even density. The transplantation is largely the same regardless of harvesting method. Other research is looking into growing as much of a guy's hair as needed to transplant in the laboratory.Balding with no receding hairline?
