I'm a 15 year old male and I am starting to get receding hairlines. I shampoo my hair every morning and am not sure if that's bad. My dad didn't get his receding hairlines until he was about 40 and my mom has full thick hair. I'm guessing its me and not my genetics (at least until I get older) Should I shampoo every other day or eat a healthier diet. I never eat lunch at school and am always hungry until I get home but I don't eat junk food every day. Is it normal for my age to have receding hairlines? I also use hairspray daily but not too much.Receding Hairline at 15?
Did anyone else in your family such as your grandfather or uncle have a receding hairline at such a young age? Sometimes that kind of thing can skip a few generations, and it is genetic usually. And shampooing every day doesn't make you go bald, but some shampoo's have very harsh chemicals in them, so that might be a problem. Look up some of the ingredients on the bottle, and see what they are/what they do. If that's it, there are plenty of natural alternatives out there.
I suggest that you go to a doctor just to be safe, most likely it's nothing and just unfortunate, but it might be a medical/dietary problem. If you want to, go to a vitamin store, and they have plenty of all-natural supplements that are good for the hair, vitamin E is good for hair and skin. They won't grow back what you've lost, but it will help keep your remaining hair strong and healthy. I'm not quite sure, but I also think Centrum offers up a supplement for men's hair loss.
Best of luck!Receding Hairline at 15?
well genetics may have a role in it. The gene is passed down from your mothers side of the family, so instead of looking at your mother and father look at your grandfather on your mothers side of the family. If he has/had a full thick head of hair then genetics are not playing a role. and if that is the case you should go see a doctor because there may be something else going on causing your hair to thin out.
Hair loss is hereditary. It doesn't matter when your dad started losing his hair, you are not the same. Its going to be different from everyone else. It could also be the way you get your hair cut or the way you brush it. Eating habits has nothing to do with hair loss. It is not normal but it is not un normal either. You might want to do some research on your hairspray to see what other people say about it
well thats a problem :)

DOOMINEE :)
Shampooing doesn't make you go bald. Testosterone does. Don't worry too much about it - I know someone who's twenty but so bald he looks like he's 35. It made it easy for him to sneak beers :).
Hair loss is a huge sign that something is WRONG. Go see a doctor don't wait until others can see their reflection on your head .
I agree go get a opinion from a doctor, to see what the problem can be.
